Universal Studios: Solution

A key aspect of the solution lay in flush-mounted products. The end result: A projection screen is mounted in the ceiling. The projector is in the ceiling with a mirror that drops down to reflect the images onto the screen. Six speakers are mounted in the ceiling with their own housings and a subwoofer, finished to compliment the surrounding furniture and discreetly tucked away. User equipment such as DVD players and VCRs are hidden away in a cabinet while remaining equipment like amplifiers, switchers, etc., are tucked away outside the room in a closet. There is also an automated lighting controller that operates the room’s lighting, providing lighting presets that can be recalled to suit any application. Finally, two ports are integrated into wall outlets to provide connections to additional display monitors and a simple, wireless touch panel provides equipment controls and provides status feedback.
