Functioning as the “eyes and ears” of the airport, the Airport Operations Centre is the control center for almost everything that goes on there. From bathroom cleaning to security and emergency response situations, the AOC must be prepared to handle any issue quickly and efficiently.

System Requirements

The Airport and Security Operations Centre required a means of transferring camera images and the various monitoring systems of the staff workstations to any one of 12 overhead video monitors. This was necessary for shared viewing by coworkers and managers. They asked that the system be able to switch any image source onto any display. It also had to be fast and easy-to-use.

The Challenge

Our challenge was to provide seamless interfacing between different video signal formats. We also sought to simplify operations by automating control tasks such as powering on/off equipment and changing the equipment settings, etc.
